Pretty Venue: San Ysidro Ranch

Since we're surrounded by a combination of holiday parties and perpetual fog in the Bay Area, I find myself day dreaming of sunshine today. Just outside Santa Barbara, in Montecito, there's this stunning venue called San Ysidro Ranch. It's tucked away in fields of lavender, with a perfect mountain backdrop. The venue has a definite rustic vibe and the grounds make for a beautiful, intimate wedding. These pictures are a lovely reminder that sunny days do exist. We could use a trip to So Cal... Just throwing it out there...

Korakia Palm Springs

Korakia is one of our favorite venues in southern california. It's an easy plane ride into the Palm Springs airport and it's in a residential neighborhood so it has that cozy neighborhood/family feel. The staff of the bed and breakfast are so helpful and sweet and the breakfast they serve in the morning is divine. The rooms are quaint and have an eclectic/eccentric feel, which perfectly suits the moroccan influenced design throughout. Since it's always sunny and warm in Palm Springs, there are two pools, both with views of the foothills. We love that this little boutique hotel is a perfect getaway from the winter blues.

Without further ado, here are some pics from my recent trip...

Korakia is perfect for a wedding with 60-80 people, though they have done weddings up to 200. Below are some photos from a wedding we did there not too long ago. These were shot by the lovely and talented Meg Smith.
