Ali & Ryan-The Parker, Palm Springs
Ali and Ryan had their destination wedding in Palm Springs in January of this year. It was the perfect place for both families to come together because of the temperate winter climate and accessibility from major airports. The couple chose The Parker, Palm Springs for it's laid back style and classic mod aesthetic. The wedding guests took over a large portion of the guest rooms at the resort and spent the days leading up to the wedding soaking in the sun and sipping on cocktails from the Lemonade Stand.
Ali and Ryan wanted a very personalized wedding day that reflected their taste, backgrounds, and history together in both the ceremony and reception. Their color scheme was adapted from the colors in their bedroom by Nicole Sillapere who designed the event. Ali's Jewish heritage was celebrated by including some traditional elements like the signing of the Ketubah, blessing of the Challah, and readings in Hebrew. The couple wrote their own vows and the ceremony was performed by inspirational speaker, Marianne Williamson. The decor for the cocktail hour and dinner played off the mid century modern decor of the hotel. Bean bag chairs, graphic throw pillows, and modern floral arrangements were brought in to show the couple's fabulous sense of style and to accentuate the existing decor. Mulberry Photography captured the day perfectly on film.
